Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Process Operator (Assistant Operator), Bayway Refinery works rotating shifts, which include weekends and holidays, on various units within the Bayway Refinery. These units process or produce crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, and other products. Some of these processes involve the use of hazardous and/or volatile materials which operate at high pressures and temperatures. The working conditions may include performing duties outside in all weather conditions, exposure to high levels of heat, noise, and vibration as well as working from heights and in confined spaces. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Your assessment results will be valid for one year. **The starting pay for this position is $39.50 per hour. Future pay changes will be determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Preferred Qualifications: The Bayway Refinery is located on the New York Harbor in Linden, New Jersey. Bayway's facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, solvent deasphalting, hydrodesulfurization and alkylation units. The complex also includes a polypropylene plant with the capacity to produce up to 775 million pounds per year. The refinery processes mainly light and medium, low-sulfur crude oil. Foreign crude oil is supplied to the refinery by tanker, and domestic crude oil is supplied through a combination of rail and marine transportation. The refinery produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petrochemical feedstocks, residual fuel oil and home heating oil. Refined products are distributed to East Coast customers by pipeline, barge, rail car and truck. Assistant Operators must follow safe work practices which include wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, Assistant Operators perform various duties required to keep their assigned processing unit/area operating safely and at specified production rates. Employees in this position are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
*The anticipated start date for this position is November 2024. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
